So I downloaded some mp3's that are in a rar file. I have 7-zip on my computer, which is windows 7, and there is no extract files option. Is that different in a rar file, and if so, is there any accessible ways to deal with rar files with jaws? I have jaws 15.

Yes, with rar files, i believe you need program like windrar or similar to windrar.

Windows Media player will play some of them, but not all.
Do a search online for the plug in, but do it on the Microsoft website.
7 Zipe is for unzipping files, not playing them. I am assuming these are not zipped, so.

Ah, forereel, I want to unzip them. They do play on my computer, but I don't wanna deal with the .rar file when I put it on my hard drive. I just want the file folder.

To unzip rar files with 7zip, right click or press the applications button (Or shift plus F10) on the rar file, arrow down till you hear "7zip submenu,", right arrow to expand the submenu, arrow down until you hear "Extract to <Folder name>". For example, if the rar file was "abc.rar", you look for the option that says "Extract to "abc"".

Let me know if this works for you.

Yes, that should do it.
Just make sure you know what folder it unzips to.

I also use 7Zip for rar and it works perfectly!
